Cohn & Wolfe New York Names Tom Reno Chief Operating Officer

Cohn & Wolfe New York have announced the appointment of Tom Reno as Chief Operating Officer, with responsibility for maximizing the depth and breadth of the agency’s talent and operations around the world. Based in New York, Reno will oversee IT, HR, legal and real estate functions as well as the operations side of acquisitions, reporting to Cohn & Wolfe CEO Donna Imperato.

“Cohn & Wolfe is significantly larger than we were a few years ago, and the growth shows no signs of slowing. We’ve transformed into an integrated offering with new technologies and services, requiring even greater operational excellence and efficiency,” said Imperato.  “Tom has a successful track record of managing and expanding agencies from an operational standpoint, but what really sets him apart is his experience on the client service side of the business.”

Reno joins Cohn & Wolfe from 42West, an entertainment public relations firm where he served as Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer for the past eight years. In that time, he led the successful execution of the agency’s long-term business strategy, increased revenues by 46% and, most recently, spearheaded the sale of the agency to a public company. Reno is also a seasoned communications practitioner with expertise in corporate branding, internal communications and investor relations across financial services, health, technology and telecom industry clients.
