We’ve been retained by a fast-scaling creative services network to identify a Vice President of FP&A—a commercially minded finance leader who can bring structure, narrative, and insight to a growing multi-entity platform backed by private equity.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-impact, high-visibility role that blends strategic planning, financial storytelling, M&A integration, and performance optimization across a dynamic, project-based business model. If you thrive on building systems from the ground up and enjoy turning numbers into compelling business strategy, this may be the role for you.

The Role

Reporting to the CFO, the VP of FP&A will serve as the architect of a network-level FP&A function—designing and leading the systems, processes, and reporting structures that bring clarity to an evolving portfolio of creative brands and service lines.

You’ll work hand-in-hand with senior leadership, private equity partners, and functional teams to translate financial data into commercial strategy—shaping forecasts, unlocking insights, and driving decisions around resource allocation, pricing, and profitability. This leader will also play a critical role in M&A integration, owning the financial narrative from diligence through post-close performance tracking.

  • Support and enhance Board-level presentations and investor reporting, ensuring alignment with PE partners’ expectations
  • Act as a business partner to Sales, Production, Marketing, and Client Services to support project-level profitability and resource optimization
  • Champion continuous improvement in forecasting and reporting workflows using automation and best practices
  • Provide ad-hoc decision support and strategic recommendations on capital allocation, pricing, and growth investments

What You Bring

  • strong commercial finance foundation—able to craft financial narratives and communicate business value beyond the numbers
  • Extensive FP&A leadership experience in creative, media, consulting, or project-based industries
  • Prior experience in a private equity-backed company is required, including direct engagement with investors and board members
  • Demonstrated success in M&A environments, including diligence, integration, and financial alignment
  • Experience building FP&A systems, processes, and reporting infrastructure at a multi-entity or network level
  • Proficiency in business intelligence and planning tools (Power BI, Adaptive Insights, etc.)
  • Hands-on, low-ego leadership style with a passion for developing high-performing teams
  • Strategic communicator who can engage cross-functional leaders and tell a cohesive, financially sound business story
  • High integrity, commercial acumen, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
