Senior Accountant
We’re partnering with a leading digital content creator based in Los Angeles to find an experienced and detail-driven Senior Accountant. This is a key role responsible for managing core financial functions, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, and delivering insights that drive informed business decisions.
As Senior Accountant, you’ll bring deep accounting expertise, a strong analytical mindset, and a passion for financial integrity. You’ll collaborate across departments, help lead the month-end close process, and play an essential role in maintaining the financial health of a fast-growing, creative organization.
What You’ll Do
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
- Work closely with department heads to monitor financial performance.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Analyze financial trends and provide insights to support strategic planning.
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
General Ledger Oversight
- Manage general ledger entries and ensure accuracy across all accounts.
- Review and adjust journal entries as needed.
Reconciliations
- Perform and review balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Mentor junior accounting staff and support their professional growth.
- Provide guidance on day-to-day accounting operations.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on general ledger and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience mentoring or managing a team.
Nice to Have
- CPA or CMA certification.
- Experience in digital media, entertainment, or video game industries.
This is a full-time, onsite role reporting to the Operations Team Lead.
