Role: Senior Finance Manager – Global Close & Consolidation
Location: London
We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join the Global Close & Consolidation team. This is a high-visibility role offering interaction with senior stakeholders and responsibility for leading a team of two London-based finance analysts.
The role manages all aspects of close cycles for multiple business units, including Theatrical, Home Entertainment, Channels, and Television Production. Key responsibilities include managing FX remeasurement and translation processes, intracompany reconciliations, and providing guidance and training to business units. The role partners with global finance teams and supports projects with cross-functional and strategic impact.
Reporting line: Director, Corporate Finance and Accounting, London
Key Responsibilities
- Manage FX remeasurement and translation processes across business units.
- Partner with business units to resolve FX issues and lead training sessions.
- Oversee intracompany processes, including master data, settlements, and reconciliations.
- Manage data submission and reconciliation with reporting requirements.
- Provide financial expertise and guidance on projects affecting business units and corporate finance.
- Contribute to functional design, system controls, and finance-related requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with global finance and controllership teams, demonstrating cultural awareness and collaboration.
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis, including for non-finance teams.
- Support global finance teams as needed with close and consolidation processes and projects.
- Supervise, coach, and develop two senior finance analysts.
- Ensure proper recording of transactions, derivative accounting compliance, and reconciliations between internal and external ledgers.
- Manage relationships with outsourced finance partners, ensuring compliance with agreements.
- Participate in process improvements and take ownership of new challenges as they arise.
Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced degree in Finance or Accounting; professional qualifications preferred (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or US CPA).
- Strong finance and accounting experience within large multinational organizations; public accounting experience advantageous.
- Deep technical accounting knowledge, including US GAAP, UK GAAP, and IFRS.
- Proven ability to analyze, problem-solve, and make decisive judgments in complex situations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across cultures and disciplines.
- Highly competent in Excel and financial accounting systems; SAP experience or SAP Analysis for Microsoft Office (AOE) preferred.
- Experience managing direct reports and working with outsourced finance partners.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
