Role: Finance Manager
Location: New York City
We are seeking a Finance Manager to join a high-performing finance team and act as a key business partner across Product, Marketing, and Customer-focused functions. This role will support strategic decision-making through financial analysis, forecasting, experimentation analysis, and business performance reporting.
The position offers strong visibility across the organization and will play an important role in supporting investment decisions, optimizing business performance, and driving financial insights across growth initiatives.
Reporting Line: Senior Finance Leadership Team
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and manage payback, IRR, and ROI analysis across marketing, product, and merchandising initiatives.
- Build and maintain financial reporting that connects operational performance to broader business outcomes.
- Deliver actionable insights on customer acquisition, lifetime value, margin performance, and growth efficiency.
- Partner closely with marketing and product teams to evaluate channel performance, investment effectiveness, and business drivers.
- Support forecasting, scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and strategic investment modeling.
- Own operating expense planning, forecasting, and variance analysis across multiple business functions.
- Participate in company-wide planning and reforecasting cycles.
- Develop financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools to support decision-making and operational visibility.
- Perform ad-hoc strategic analysis to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for optimization.
- Drive continuous improvement across financial processes, reporting workflows, and cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of experience within FP&A, strategic finance, consulting, banking, or related finance environments.
- Experience supporting high-growth, subscription-based, consumer, or direct-to-consumer businesses preferred.
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical capabilities.
- Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets proficiency.
- Strong understanding of customer acquisition, marketing performance, and business growth metrics.
- Experience with BI and financial systems such as Looker, NetSuite, or similar platforms advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts for non-finance stakeholders.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong cross-functional partnership and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate effectively within fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and evolving environments.
