Our client, an award-winning search advertising company recently recognized as one of the best places to work in New York, is seeking a <strong>Senior Accountant<\/strong> to join their growing finance team!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What You\u2019ll Do:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Oversee accounts receivable (A\/R) billing and collections, ensuring timely payments and resolving outstanding balances.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor customer accounts for non-payment, delayed payments, and other irregularities, while preparing and analyzing A\/R dashboards and reports.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Handle period-end closing activities, including preparing, posting, and reconciling journal entries for P&amp;L and balance sheet accounts such as cash and accounts payable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop and maintain financial schedules, reconciliation processes, and flux analysis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lead the implementation of best practices to streamline and scale financial operations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Document accounting processes and internal controls to enhance efficiency and compliance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What We\u2019re Looking For:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Education:<\/strong> Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Experience:<\/strong> 3\u20136 years of progressive accounting experience preferred; U.S. GAAP experience is a plus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Technical Skills:<\/strong> Experience with enterprise general ledger systems such as Sage Intacct or NetSuite.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong organizational and time management skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Solid understanding of accounting principles and best practices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A proactive, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Commitment to confidentiality and handling sensitive financial information with discretion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ready to Take the Next Step?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If this sounds like the perfect role for you, we\u2019d love to hear from you!
