Group Reporting Manager

A leading Content Creation Agency based in Central London has an exciting opening for an experienced Group Reporting Manager to provide comprehensive support to the Group Finance team and be the IFRS expert within the team, in relation to both Internal and External technical reporting.

This role will work with the CFO and wider finance team, to deliver financial reporting, planning and analysis to a high level in line with regulatory expectation but also to support business making decisions.

Given the nature of this role, you will ideally have experience of working within a large organisation (PLC preferred) and have prior exposure to key technical areas including IFRS 2, 3, 9, 15, and 16.

In addition, key responsibilities will include :

  • Preparation of group consolidated financial statements and disclosure notes.
  • Preparation and presentation of accounting and financial reports to the audit committee.
  • Responsible for Group head office entities accounting and reporting.
  • Development of control templates for group financial control and compliance.
  • Ensure finance team are fully aware of recent technical updates.
  • Assist in sourcing and hiring staff required for your team

Key accountabilities

Delivery of Group Reporting:

  • Lead the group financial reporting team members, in the preparation of the consolidated financial statements, consolidation and elimination journals, and supporting schedules;
  • Preparation of supplementary reconciliations to support the group consolidated results;
  • Manage the preparation of the earnings release and quarterly financial supplement;
  • Assist with the preparation of internal and external slide presentations;
  • Manage the share capital schedules and reporting on various long-term incentive schemes;
  • Responsible for the production of the annual report and accounts and certain other regulatory reports or submissions within the remit of the group financial reporting team;
  • Production of the quarterly group reporting timetable, and co-ordination of group close activities to support group reporting activities; and
  • Maintain all files and supporting documentation for internal and external audit review.

Delivery of External Presentations:

  • Assist, where necessary, in the preparation of presentations and supporting documentation for external release alongside the Head of Investor relations
  • Assist in the preparation of corporate transaction presentations and supporting documentation with the Corporate development team ; and
  • Maintain all files and supporting documentation for internal and external audit review.

Accounting Policies and Procedures:

  • Preparation of technical accounting papers where necessary; and
  • Updating existing accounting papers/policies for revisions and updates in accounting standards (IFRS).

Additional Requirements:

  • Involvement in various different capacities with regards to ad-hoc projects and reporting requirements.
  • Assist with current and planned finance system change projects, including enhancements to existing systems and processes to implementation of new core financial systems including reconciliations when implemented to ensure accuracy of the new system.
