A leading Content Creation Agency based in Central London has a new opening for an experienced Senior Commercial Analyst to join their finance team who posses exceptional relationship management, financial modelling, analytical skills and business case development skills

Responsibilities:

Planning, Insight and Reporting:

  • Work with the heads of numerous lines of business and leverage your understanding of commercial drivers to support the development & submission of budgets and forecasts into finance systems
  • Produce & present financial and operational analytics monthly that provide forward thinking insights enabling strategic decision support
  • Continually challenge current thinking and make recommendations on how to optimise business opportunities and minimise risk / cost to the business.
  • Collaborate closely with the various lines of the business to provide deal support in the form of analytic, insights and recommendations that maximise value during negotiations with customers

Forecasting:

  • Produce business cases to support investment in new products and business lines
  • Collaborate with external partners to gather data that will inform financial and operational analytics.
  • Interpreting commercial contracts so that financial models reflect the underlying commercial terms
  • Prepare industry and competitor analysis
  • Provide advice and guidance to the business on any ad hoc commercial and contractual matters, to ensure optimum long term value

Process Improvement:

  • Utilise and develop financial models and systems used by the finance team
  • Using your understanding of business systems and processes to determine divisional needs and identify new business processes or opportunities which will provide added benefit

Ideal skills and experience

  • Ability to meet demanding deadlines, often with competing priorities, and adapts to business needs
  • Comfortable working with large volumes of data
  • Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • A strong sense and awareness of control and attention to detail, balanced with an ability to see the bigger picture
  • Must be extremely diligent, reliable and self- motivated in nature
  • Excellent time management, planning and co-ordination skills are essential
  • Possess strong analytical skills
  • Flexible and adaptable in approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of the commercial business
  • Mature and professional in nature
  • Capable of developing good working relationships with individuals at all levels both internal and external
