Hine departs after five years in the role and will remain within IPG in a role “supporting the wider network”, while Hollands will take over as chief executive in July.
During his time at the business, Hine oversaw the transformation of the group into the single brand MullenLowe UK.
MullenLowe has won clients including Bayer, Co-op, Ferrero and Bupa under Hine’s leadership.
MullenLowe also won workforce solutions company Manpower earlier this year and is due to announce two further wins later this month.
Prior to joining Lowe Worldwide in 2006, Hine was business director at J Walter Thompson Worldwide.
