In the same week that it added Capital One to its fast-growing roster, the7stars, the UK’s largest independent media agency, has now won the UK and Ireland media planning and buying account for Deliveroo, worth £10 million.
The online food delivery company previously used WPP’s MediaCom to handle media across Europe.
Deliveroo, which is known for its distinctive green and white branding, held a competitive pitch for the UK and Ireland business. It is thought that MediaCom did not participate.
Nick Maddison, managing partner at the7stars, said: “Deliveroo is a dynamic and growing company that has quickly embedded itself as part of the UK food scene.
“We look forward to working with them to deliver the company’s next phase of growth.”
Emily Kraftman, head of marketing, UK & Ireland at Deliveroo, said: “We felt their strategy to be compelling and felt that the7stars’ values and ways of working fit very well with how we work at Deliveroo.
“We’re really excited to work together and confident we are going to deliver some amazing campaigns together.”
