Financial Director
Our Client a leading full-service entertainment agency at the forefront of advertising, marketing, and branding, dedicated to shaping the future of storytelling located in the heart of New York has an opening for a Finance Director to join them.
As the Finance Director, you will be a critical driver in the agency’s financial strategy, ensuring long-term growth and stability. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead a dedicated finance team and collaborate closely with senior leadership to shape the company’s financial landscape. You will provide strategic financial insights, oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, and ensure that our business remains on a strong financial footing as we continue to grow and innovate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of financial strategies that support the agency’s overall goals and objectives.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
- Manage all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management to support business decisions and drive profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as corporate policies.
- Collaborate with department heads to monitor financial performance, optimize budgets, and allocate resources efficiently.
- Lead financial audits and manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay informed about industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes to anticipate and address financial risks and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of the entertainment, advertising, and marketing industries is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing financial strategies that drive business success.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, with a strong understanding of GAAP.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
