Staff Accountant
We’re partnering with a trailblazing, independent digital media agency in Los Angeles that’s redefining how global brands connect with their audiences. They’re on the hunt for a Staff Accountant who’s not just great with numbers – but curious, sharp, and ready to grow with a team that’s as dynamic and fast-moving as the industry itself.
This isn’t your average accounting gig. You’ll be embedded in a high-performing, collaborative Finance & Accounting team and play a key role in the General Ledger function. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, you’ll help ensure that financial records are accurate, timely, and insightful – fuelling smart decision-making across the agency.
What You’ll Do:
- Own the review and processing of fixed asset invoices
- Drive the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and GL transactions
- Prepare clear, concise variance and flux analyses
- Research and document the impact of evolving accounting standards
- Support internal and external audits with timely, accurate info
- Contribute ideas to improve automation and streamline reporting workflows
- Collaborate on cross-functional finance initiatives
- Help maintain and enhance internal controls under SOX and GAAP
- Jump into ad-hoc projects and be ready to pivot when priorities shift
What You Bring:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in a public company or corporate accounting team (agency or media experience a plus!)
- Solid foundation in GAAP
- Deadline-driven with laser-sharp attention to detail
- Excel-savvy – intermediate to advanced level preferred
- Strong communicator – clear, concise, and collaborative
- Self-starter energy with a passion for learning and taking ownership
- A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment
