Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our finance team. The Assistant Controller will play a key role in supporting the Controller in overseeing all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. Flexible (Remote or On-site at our headquarters)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze financial data and provide insights to drive business decisions
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, including tracking actual performance against budgeted targets
  • Support external audit and tax compliance processes
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support special projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a corporate environment
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
