Accounting Manager
Our client, a thriving technology startup within the Entertainment and Events sector, have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounting Manager to join their dynamic team in Los Angeles. This role will be instrumental in supporting the financial operations as they navigate through a period of significant growth. You will report to the Senior Manager of Accounting and play a critical role in shaping the financial landscape of this rapidly expanding business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and perform day-to-day accounting activities to deliver timely monthly closes.
- Revenue recognition across the business, including e-comm, retail and receipts.
- Partner with cross-functional departments to streamline the inventory accounting process and reporting.
- Document and improve processes to support rapid business growth and scalability in accordance with GAAP.
- Participate in financial audits and prepare external reporting such as lender reporting.
- Collaborate with external tax consultants to ensure accurate and timely preparation of sales tax returns.
- Reconciliation and variance analysis of general ledger accounts.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a mix of both public and private.
- Ability to implement an accounting process for our retail channels.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
