Senior Finance Manager
Our client, an award-winning branding agency located in the heart of London, is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join their expanding team.
About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Senior Finance Manager will oversee all accounting, reporting, and compliance activities for the UK operations. This dynamic and rewarding role provides exposure to all areas of the finance function within a thriving creative agency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly and quarterly US GAAP reporting, including operating cost analysis and corporate reporting pack reviews.
- Prepare and complete complex month, quarter, and year-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Coordinate and prepare financial statements under IFRS.
- Manage external audit and tax engagements.
- Supervise payroll processing for Finance Director review.
- Administer the company pension, including monthly submissions to Royal London.
- Oversee annual P11D/ERS/PSA reporting.
- Review key account reconciliations, including accruals, VAT, prepayments, and intercompany transactions.
- Review and approve payment runs prepared by the Accounts Payable team.
- Approve staff expenses in Concur.
- Manage cash flow forecasts for multiple entities.
- Oversee local accounting for acquired entities.
- Drive process improvements and assist with system implementations.
- Handle ad hoc projects as assigned by the company.
Ideal Candidate:
- ACCA/ACA qualified with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel with working knowledge of Microsoft Word.
- Experience with SAP (desirable).
- Solid understanding of US GAAP and IFRS.
- Exposure to M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions) preferred.
- Management experience advantageous.
- Proactive, able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong attention to detail, dedicated to meeting deadlines, and capable of handling shifting priorities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
