Section A: Understanding the Organization
- Have I thoroughly explored their website?
- Which market sectors do they dominate?
- Who are their main competitors?
- What products or services are they renowned for?
- What challenges is the organization currently facing?
- Do I have any innovative ideas to help address these challenges?
Section B: Role-Specific Preparation
- Have I carefully reviewed the job description?
- What are the five core competencies required for this role?
- What insightful questions will I ask during the interview?
- Why am I passionate about this job?
- What are my unique strengths, and why am I the ideal candidate?
- Are there any potential concerns about my qualifications? If so, how will I address them?
Section C: Aligning Past Experience
- Have I anticipated likely questions related to the core competencies listed in the job description?
- Do I have well-prepared examples that follow the Situation-Process-Outcome format for each competency?
- Am I confident in my ability to demonstrate each required competency?
- What areas do I need to develop further to excel in this role?
Section D: Final Preparations
- Do I know the company’s location?
- Am I clear on how to get there?
- Have I planned enough time to arrive punctually without being too early?
- Who will be interviewing me?
- Do I know their name, title, and interview style?
- Have I confirmed the appropriate dress code? (When in doubt, it’s best to be slightly more formal.)
