Accountant
Our client, one of Australia’s most progressive and dynamic media and entertainment companies, has an opening for an Accountant to join their growing Sydney.
Do you want to make an impact and be part of a fun collaborative team? If so, this is an amazing opportunity for you! Reporting to the Finance Operations Manager this role is an integral part of the Finance team where you will take ownership end to end of our expense accounts.
About The Role:
- Delivering timely & accurate monthly financial results within deadlines.
- Communicating and providing insights into business performance supported by detailed financial analysis as required.
- Maintaining and rolling over of schedules and trackers in excel.
- Processing journals, balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
- Approving invoices for operating expenses.
- Assisting with annual budgets, statutory accounting, audit requirements, tax compliance and ad hoc projects as required.
About You:
- Highly analytical and interested in telling the story behind the numbers.
- Great organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing tasks.
- Relevant degree and preferably working towards CPA or CA qualification.
- Advanced level in Microsoft Excel.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
