Leading performance marketing agency for top e-commerce brands is seeking a talented individual to join our dynamic organization. This position will report directly to the CEO and be responsible for the day-to-day transactional accounting, including month-end close process, general ledger management, financial reporting, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will enjoy complex accounting and be excited to have the opportunity to take a deep dive into the unique aspects of scaling a successful marketing agency representing world-famous brands.

Essential Duties and Functions

  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close, including analytical review of financial results to ensure timely and accurate accounting records are maintained.
  • Oversee the day-to-day accounting and financial operations, including general ledger maintenance, payroll processing, accounts payable and receivable, and reconciliations to ensure the proper and timely processing of billing and payments.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements, bank and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries for payroll, accruals, prepaid expenses, and accounts receivable.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of industry-specific accounting standards and their implications for the company’s financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and forecasts to provide accurate and timely insights into the company’s financial performance.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for business operations.
  • Processing, reconciliation, and oversight for our “high volume” of invoices. Including primary internal and external contact to answer questions and explain any changes related to invoices.
  • Partner cross-functionally to develop and maintain budget and expense controls.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and the organization’s continued growth.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or related field.
  • Healthy level of curiosity, excited about our industry, sense of humor, and enjoys working with others.
  • Self-directed professional with self-confidence and desire to share your ideas and knowledge.
  • Comfortable providing “hands-on” accounting and partnering with leadership on high-level strategy, strategic planning, and growth plans.
  • Enthusiastic about collaborating with our clients and vendors to ensure exceptional service.
  • QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite, and Intermediate to Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • Highly organized, results-oriented, with the ability to be flexible, and excited to be part of a successfully growing marketing agency company.
