Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial health of the company. This role is critical in maintaining the financial integrity of the companies operations and contributing to the success of our high-profile projects.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting – Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP.

Accounts Payable and Receivable – Manage the processing of invoices and payments, monitor aging reports, and ensure timely collection of receivables.

General Ledge – Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.

Budgeting and Forecasting – Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and recommendations for cost control.

Tax Compliance – Assist with the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Audits – Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.

Financial Analysis – Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

Process Improvement – Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.

Collaboration – Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support for various projects and initiatives.


Qualifications

  • Education -Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience – 2-4 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in an advertising, marketing, or entertainment environment.
  • Skills – Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge – Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards. Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Attributes -Attention to detail, strong communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a passion for the entertainment industry.
  • Degree – Bachelors in related field
  • Certification – CPA or progress towards CPA certification is a plus.
