Our client, a bespoke advertising agency that focus on working with sports brands and companies that have links with the sporting world, is recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their Central London based finance team on a hybrid basis (mixture of office and home working).

Reporting into to Head of Finance, as an accounts assistant you will have primary responsibility for both accounts payable, receivable, and general day-to-day management of the finance department. This role will require an individual who is a real team player, a strong communicator and someone who has excellent attention to detail.

  • Processing sales invoices and updating the sales ledger
  • Updating invoicing spreadsheet with status of invoice, i.e., invoices raised, when invoice is paid
  • Distributing of sales invoice to relevant parties
  • Credit control


  • Managing inbox – purchase orders, invoices, queries etc
  • Processing purchase invoices, which requires matching supplier invoices to purchase orders
  • Coding and inputting supplier invoices where no PO is required
  • Preparing weekly payment run for suppliers
  • Reviewing staff expenses for processing through the payroll
  • Answering supplier queries / building trusted relationships with supplier key staff


  • Updating cashbook with payments and receipts
  • Bank reconciliation


  • Prepayments and accruals
  • Reconciliation of control accounts
  • Review of nominal accounts
  • Month End Journals

Ideally, you will have good accounting experience up to trial balance with good analytical and problem-solving skills along with previous exposure to Sage Line 200 software.
