Senior Accountant
Our client, a rapidly growing brand management start-up platform based in New York and Switzerland, is recruiting for an experience Senior Accountant to join their finance team in New York on a hybrid basis (1-2 days a week in the office).
As the Senior Accountant you will own everything to do with the finances of the US office and take the processes and reporting to the next level. You’ll manage all the financial accounting including the associated administration (with the support of external accountant), prepare the monthly consolidation reporting for the Swiss headquarters, and coordinate and prepare annual financial statements. In this role, you’ll also manage accounts receivables and accounts payables, manage and prepare tax data for the clients tax experts, and ensure compliance with US laws and regulations. All the while, lead and support other big-picture, finance-related projects.
About you:
- You have 4+ years of experience in a finance function at a SaaS, SaaS consulting, or tech company.
- You’ve completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- You have hands-on experience with tools like NetSuite, Quickbooks, Avatax, and/or Zuora – and, in general, have an affinity for working with IT products.
- Your track record boasts of having successfully handled the finances of a US-based office/subsidiary in the past.
- You bring a basic knowledge of both general US and US tax laws with you that allow you to ensure compliance.
- You’re excited to work in an international, high-growth scaleup setting on various projects.
