What You’ll Do:
As a Staff Accountant, you will be at the heart of our financial operations, ensuring that the books are balanced, their clients are billed, and all transactions run smoothly. You’ll be a key player in keeping the finances in check while helping to continue to drive growth and success.
- Client Billing: Own the client billing process, working across media, consulting, and production to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage the flow of transactions, ensuring suppliers are paid on time and client payments are received.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports, providing insights that drive decision-making.
- Cash Flow Management: Track transactions and generate reports to keep our financial operations running smoothly.
- Internal Controls: Maintain and enhance internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and protect the financial integrity of the business.
- Process Improvement: Bring fresh ideas to the table by suggesting and implementing improvements to our finance systems and processes.
- Tax and Payroll: Support payroll processing, sales tax reporting, and help with various tax-related matters.
- Collaborate: Work closely with the finance team, as well as cross-functionally with other departments, to contribute to the agency’s overall success.
What You Bring:
- Experience: 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably within a media, consulting, or creative environment.
- Detail-Oriented: You have a keen eye for detail and accuracy, ensuring that no number is out of place.
- Tech-Savvy: Strong Excel skills are a must, and experience with accounting software like Microsoft Navision (NAV) is a big plus.
- Problem-Solver: You’re proactive, resourceful, and always looking for ways to optimize processes.
